A day with Kyoor

One day, from the morning brief.

What follows is a day as Kyoor prepares it. The people are described by their roles, since the correspondence is private.

7:00

The morning brief

Four things need you today. Overnight, 41 messages arrived that need nothing from you. They are filed, and the brief says so in one line. The four that remain: a board pre-read with two decisions before Monday, your reply to the finance committee chair, the provost's question on the hiring plan, and the 10:00 strategy review.

7:10

The board pre-read

Kyoor has read the pre-read and set out the two decisions, each with a summary and the options. For the summary Kyoor asked a stronger model. The names were hidden first, and the answer came back with them restored. You take the first decision and hold the second for a word with the chair.

7:20

The finance committee chair

Your reply is drafted in your own words, with the one change to the timing you mentioned on Tuesday. You read it and send it.

9:45

Before the strategy review

Who will be in the room, each on one card: how to address them, what was said when you last met, and what is open between you. You owe the vice president for research a budget detail; it is attached to the item, ready to hand over.

Midday

The provost's hiring plan

The provost asked for your view by Friday, and you promised an answer on Tuesday. Kyoor has looked up the plan and composed three ways forward: approve it with one condition on timing, ask for the budget detail first, or twenty minutes on Thursday. It recommends the first and says why. You choose.

3:00

A trip in two weeks

Kyoor plans it, prepares each booking in your own accounts so that your status and benefits apply, and puts the itinerary on your calendar. You approve the bookings.

4:30

An approval

A request from the institution's approval system is recognized, kept in view with the others, and closed when you have acted on it.

Evening

What was settled during the day is closed. What waits on others is listed with who owes what. Nothing was sent that you did not send. Tomorrow's brief is already being prepared.

By invitation.

Kyoor is offered to executives and the institutions they lead.
